Songwriting Contest

  • Whereas the 1st place winner is chosen by the panel, there’s still a public vote prize of $100. The public vote will open at 2p ET on Sunday, November 26 and end at 11p ET on Monday, November 27.

    You can cast 3 votes. No duplicate voting. If you vote multiple times for the same entry, only one vote will count. Listen, enjoy, and spread the love.

    Artists who submit cover artwork will be given a bonus vote. Their artwork has been included below and on the voting form.

    Late submissions will be deducted a vote. They have been designated by a “^”

    The winner will be announced via Instagram and email no later than 5p ET on Tuesday, November 28.

    Celebrate each other and send encouragement to all of those who’ve submitted a song for the contest!

  • First prize: An exclusively TERRA branded Earthquaker Devices Ledges pedal

    This public vote will go to the highest vote total of whoever did not already win the panel vote. Everyone is in the game!

  • Songwriting Contest Prompt: Savor

    Remember, the prompt should be seen as a jumping off point - not necessarily a constraint.

    1. The song must be completed in it’s entirety within the contest dates - no using old songs or previous ideas. Honor code!

    2. The song must be submitted by Saturday, November 25 at 11:59p ET.

    3. Voting will commence at 12p ET on Sunday, November 26 and end at 10p ET on Monday, November 27. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 28.

    4. First place will be determined by a group of panelists. The panel will consist of 8+ individuals who are venue owners, producers, writers, etc. They’ll be announced during the contest.

    5. There will also be a public vote that determines the second place prize.

    6. The song must be at least submitted as a voice memo, but feel free to produce it fully.

    7. Submissions are to be converted to mp3 and emailed directly to - info@terrasongwriting.com

    8. Please include your name, artist name, social media links, and anything you’d like to share about the submitted song.

    9. You can form teams with others - but keep in mind the time/setting constraint and the prizes.

    10. If your song includes cover artwork, you'll automatically receive a bonus vote.
